OVERVIEW

Travel through the extraordinarily scenic White Mountains by motor coach and a heritage railroad experiencing the region’s natural beauty along the way. Your journey begins with a scenic drive to North Conway, a charming town in New Hampshire near the White Mountain National Park. Upon arrival, if time permits, you may enjoy some free time to explore North Conway village before departing from the historic 19th-century train station, built in the Russian Victorian style. Here, you’ll board a comfortable, fully restored 1950s streamlined passenger railcar for a breathtaking journey through the Mount Washington Valley. Along the way, the train crosses truss bridges and towering trestles, offering sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. You’ll pass rivers, forests, and dramatic mountain peaks, all brought to life through onboard commentary that highlights the region’s points of interest. Your journey concludes at the historic Crawford Depot, where you can step off and take in the majestic panoramas and rugged beauty of Crawford Notch. From there, board your motor coach again for a scenic drive through Crawford Notch State Park and the White Mountain National Forest, continuing to Portland and your awaiting ship.
