OVERVIEW

Cruise along the spectacularly scenic coast of Kodiak Island with a local captain that will point out the sights while regaling you with stories of the Alaskan wilderness. Our captains are experienced outdoorsmen and entertaining and informative host so you can expect every moment to be memorable. Your adventure will begin in the harbor, where many of the king crab boats from the television series “Deadliest Catch” moor for the summer before they start heading for the Bering Sea. As you head out on your tour, you will soon understand why Kodiak Island is nicknamed the Emerald Island—dense green forests blanket it. While skirting along the shore, you will pass bird rookeries, where hundreds of puffins and the kittiwakes that nest in the sheer cliffs. You may also spot majestic bald eagles nesting high in the Sitka spruce trees. Marine species are also abundant, so keep an eye out for humpback whales, sea lions and sea otters.
